How can I keep roses alive the longest after they have been cut from the bush?

My girlfriend gives me roses sometimes and they always end up dying and never fully blooming. I use the flower food that comes with the roses. I began changing water daily. I cut the stem at an angle. Is there anything else I can do?

re cut the stems bottoms with a diagnol cut under running water or put sugar or karo syrup in the vase water- very little bit should do it.

I’ve also heard than an aspirin in the water is helpful. You should trim the stems daily under running water.

I always put an aspirin in the water, try it, you’ll be surprised.

A very sharp knife so you dont pinch the watter follicles when you cut them. If they are pinched then they cant soak moisture and will die.

aspirin in the water or a copper penny in water helps, the copper has something cut flowers need
