Wait until closer to the date. Seriously, you can get a product called Flower Fresh, which helps cut flowers last longer. Two weeks is too much, tho. When you do get it, cut off about 1 inch of the stem on a slant and put it in warm (not hot) water, that will help water get up into the stem and help it last longer also.
they only last a good couple of days unless of course they are fresh fresh then maybe a week with care and changing the water and re cutting the stems at least every other day. Plant food also helps
From a good florist when you follow the directions that come with the flowers they should last for about 2 weeks in my experience. He shouldn’t buy the flowers until the day of her birthday though!
Hmmm… tht’s sweet… they normally live fresh for a day or two… then start loosin there shine.. however ya can keep them good for 4-5 days by puttin some (2-3) Disprine in the water (a medicine used for curing headace)….
but two weeks is too long…. but he can try keepin the roses in deep fridger….. probably it’ll work tht way !!!
i buy roses for my wife often. but to think they will last 2 weeks…..ok keep dreaming. use the fresh flower stuff, recut the stems under warm water, this way air doesnt get into the stems…….so i have been told, change the water daily, you might get a week out of them.
check the bulbs when you first get them, if its tight not mushy then they are fresh, the mushier (sp) the older they are. we usually wait till they just start to open then bundle them around the end of the stem with string and hang them upside down in a closet for a couple weeks. they dry good and go back into a vase.
